#BlackMirror is a dystopian fantasy television series that explores topics of current techno-paranoia. Every episode contains a different story and a frightening tone is always present.

‘Be Right Back’ (S02 E01) is the story of a widow that hires a service that imitates her husband’s personality. First as a chatbot, but then, as more information is provided (from social media, personal messages, emails, private recordings, photos) the service can be upgraded to a voice call and, finally, as an android.
While the widow consented to provide the information to create her husband’s virtual representation, one may question how freely given this consent is in situations of vulnerability and extreme pain due to the dead of a loved one.
